Expensive yearling who shaped with plenty of encouragement on debut when only beaten narrowly into fourth; improved on return to win at Goodwood impressing with how she dominated; hard to oppose even under a penalty.
The NAP was back in the winners enclosure on Thursday as Ametist swooped late to win impressively at Newmarket. There was something really satisfying about that given he had been uneasy in the betting. Tom Marquand gave him a peach! We head to Doncaster on Friday in search of another winner and the progressive FREE WIND should have too much for her rivals here. She made all and was always travelling powerfully at Goodwood earlier this month and with the promise of more to come a penalty shouldn’t be enough to stop her. She is by Galileo and there could be lots more under the bonnet. Lady Rockstar is by Frankel and ran well at Haydock so looks the most obvious danger.

Yarmouth 4.20 Imperial Yellow (1/1)
New Bay colt who did plenty wrong on debut before finishing a promising fourth; improved to win at Yarmouth; solid third up in grade at Newbury; returned with a convincing win at Leicester and capable of better yet.
I’ve had IMPERIAL YELLOW on my radar for a while now and I think this promising colt can make it 3 wins from just 5 starts. He returned from a 317-day absence to win at Leicester and while he’ll need more to follow up here he clearly possesses plenty of ability and I think there’s lots more to come yet. He shaped as though he’ll relish this extra furlong and I think we’ll see a good performance here. Inveigle is a promising son of Dark Angel and he was only beaten half a length into third at Chelmsford last time. He looks the one who will give the favourite a race. Harrison Point ran well in the Victoria Cup but I feel like I’ve given him enough chances now and he is opposable.
