THE US NAP (BEST BET) WON LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT FINGER LAKES AGAIN TONIGHT!
Race 4 Finger Lakes 7.37 First Homestead (11/8)
Likeable type who justified strong support showing good early speed to get on the lead and win convincingly on penultimate start, finding plenty; big run in defeat over track and trip last time, denied just a head; more to come yet.
The US NAP was back in the winners enclosure last night as Night Cap won impressively. She came there full of running and was never in any danger. We head to Finger Lakes again tonight as we look to follow up and I’m keen to side with FIRST HOMESTEAD in Race 4 on the card. This horse was almost terrier like when winning on penultimate start and I thought he ran huge given the circumstances last time over track and trip. It turned into a real test so the way he managed to dig deep and close up late was really encouraging. This is easier opposition tonight and I doubt it will be run as ferociously as that last race was so that will also help. By far the most likely winner of this.

Race 5 Thistledown 7.50 Twerk (11/8)
Promising filly who was highly tried on penultimate start and never really looked happy; very much back on track down in grade over 6f here last time always in her comfort zone tucked in off the pace; powered home up the straight.
The US NEXT BEST was also back in the winners enclosure last night as the DD landed in good style. We head to Thistledown tonight for our second best bet Stateside and TWERK can tough this out. She showed a great attitude to prevail last time and had every chance to chuck the towel in. This isn’t much tougher and if she can secure a decent early position once they get racing in the straight I fancy her to hold off all challenges. Penny Shots was only beaten 2 lengths last time and looks one of the likely dangers but she didn’t find a great deal off the bridle last time which has to be a worry. Highly Explosive is also worth a second look but needs to better those last two efforts.
