THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS OVER AT REDCAR ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON!
Redcar 1.10 Aristobulus (13/8)
Adaay colt who overcame inexperience to make a winning debut at Chelmsford last month, getting on top final strides; sure to improve and will appreciate the step up to 7f now; one to keep firmly on side.
Uncs was impressive on debut but I was disappointed last time and while he is capable of better I’m happy to oppose with the exciting ARISTOBULUS for James Ferguson. This colt by Adaay ran green on debut but seemed to learn on the job making relentless headway between horses to get up in the final few strides. He is only going to improve and with the step up to 7f likely to unlock further progress as well he has obvious claims of making it a perfect 2-2. Uncs has to be respected if bouncing back but High Fibre might pose a bigger threat as his run at Newbury behind Bosh last time was encouraging. Hard to see any of the newcomers being good enough as they are likely to improve for the outing.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN IRELAND AT THE CURRAGH ON SUNDAY!
Curragh 2.10 Order Of Australia (2/1)
Australia colt who relished the drop back in trip to win Breeders’ Cup Mile last autumn; not disgraced on reappearance in the Queen Anne and could have too much for these back down to 7f in much calmer waters.
I know ORDER OF AUSTRALIA wasn’t at his best on return but that was a very good race and he had the likes of Palace Pier, Lope Y Fernandez, Sir Busker and Lord Glitters in front of him. He should appreciate the drop back to 7f and up against inferior opposition it wouldn’t surprise me if he was too classy for them. The fact he won the Breeders’ Cup Mile shows how good a horse he is and I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t get back to winning ways here. Njord is a decent horse and he ran well when second to Kinross at Haydock. A similar run would see him hit the frame so shouldn’t be underestimated. Ace Aussie is probably the danger though as he has potential to do better still and should run well.
