THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 5 AT BALLARAT ON MONDAY MORNING!
Race 5 Ballarat 5.30 Bainbridge (11/10)
Likeable type who has gradually improved with every run and impressed at Geelong powering home to win easily; run down in the shadow of the post last time but still a big run; more to come yet and looks hard to oppose here.
The Aussie NAP was a non runner last night so we head to Ballarat still chasing back-to-back winners. BAINBRIDGE looks progressive and he won’t need to find much more to take this out and make it 2 wins from 4 starts. He goes up in trip again and promises to do better as his stamina is drawn out. Manhattan Sting has won 2 of his last 3 himself so comes here in great form but he is just 3 from 18 overall so I think the selection will improve past him here but still looks the main danger. Young Hostess probably best of the rest after a win here and a second last time. Consistent form but exposed in comparison to the front two and especially the favourite so will need to be at her very best to figure.

THE AUSSIE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 5 AT ROCKHAMPTON!
Race 5 Rockhampton 7.12 Sirfina (11/10)
Only grabbed late at Townsville last time and building a nice profile so looks well placed to get himself back in the winners enclosure here; good value to gallop this favourite into the ground; one to keep safe especially in this contest.
We head over to Rockhampton for our second best bet Down Under on Tuesday and SIRFINA is fancied to be hard to beat. He looks sure to roll along in front and if he gets an easy time of it I can’t see him coming back to them. Pitchfork is clearly talented and resume for a new yard but Sirfina might just get away from him if he isn’t fully wound up and the selection is a bigger price as well. Louie The Legend has just 2 wins from 34 starts and isn’t running well enough to trouble the front pair. Woodley’s Gold has just the 1 win from 12 scares and this looks tough. To be honest similar comments apply to the rest of the runners. Hard to see any springing an upset.
