NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS OVER IN IRELAND AT NAAS ON WEDNESDAY EVENING!
Naas 5.50 Pennine Hills (11/8)
Certainly knew her job on debut, breaking sharply, getting on the lead and making all; liked the way she asserted and the second Concert Hall has franked the form since; more to come and good chance of making it 2-2 here.
Joseph O’Brien could have a nice filly on his hands in the shape of PENNINE HILLS. She made the perfect start winning on debut and the form was given some substance with the second Concert Hall winning a strong looking maiden at the Curragh last weekend. She can win this before going on to better things. Sophie’s Star has experience on side and is very consistent so she looks the threat to the favourite. Ladies Church is well bred and improved to win at Tipperary last time but that form doesn’t look good enough to trouble the favourite. Impeachd Alexander opened her account at Cork last month and is another one to note but again the bare form just isn’t up to scratch so the fav is a strong bet.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT LEICESTER!
Leicester 7.50 Silent Escape (7/4)
New Approach filly who has won both starts to date and took another step forward to leave rivals standing at Newcastle on return, making all; goes handicapping now and open to further progress so obvious chance of the hat-trick.
I’m struggling to look past SILENT ESCAPE here. She really impressed me the last day and given that was her first start for 213 days she is entitled to strip fitter now. She goes handicapping off a mark of 86 and there should still be more to come. She has the most potential of these and I’ll be surprised if she loses her unbeaten tag. Coul Queen recorded a career best at Chester earlier this month but is 8lb higher now against some nice types. I think she is probably just the danger but I much prefer the selection. Arabian Romance is running to a consistent level and won’t be far away. Mutahamisa disappointed last time but is better than that. Could also run well without quite being good enough.
