THE US NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT DELAWARE PARK!

Race 7 Delaware Park 9.15 Made In Italy (11/8)

Good looking filly who made a really encouraging start Stateside finishing third at Belmont last month; bumped at the start and a bit slowly away so ran on well at the finish; more to come and well placed to score.

Marco Botti used to train Mukhadram filly MADE IN ITALY and she won twice at Lingfield and Newcastle. She made a really bright start Stateside finishing third to a couple of useful yardsticks in Higher Truth and Coastana. She was only beaten just over 3 lengths and with further improvement to come she looks well placed now to get back to winning ways. She looks the class act in this field and I’m expecting her to have too much for main market rival Ocean Air. The latter has been acquitting herself well winning at Gulfstream before two good seconds at Belmont since. She can also do better but just looks to be bumping into one in the shape of the fav. I’ll be surprised if anything else is good enough.

Race 7 Thistledown 8.50 Moonlit Mission (13/8)

Useful filly who showed a great attitude to prevail by a head over track and trip in May and then backed that up with a big run up slightly in trip last month; could still do better so the hat-trick very much looks on the cards here.

I have this between MOONLIT MISSION and Edge Of Night and it’s very much the former I want to be with. She is chasing a hat-trick and certainly knows where the winning post is with 8 career wins already and she is still only a 4yo. She finds plenty off the bridle and while she’ll need them to come back late I’m expecting both Sally Strong and Totally Obsessed to go hard early and that should suit and she will look to run them down late up the straight. Edge Of Night was behind Drillit last time and the selection beat that horse last time so on collateral form she certainly holds an edge. Market Success beat Here Comes Jigs (runs earlier on the card) and so is also worth a second look in here.
