Improved a chunk to open his account up in trip on handicap debut over 1m2f here last month; further improvement to come as his stamina is drawn out and big chance to follow up with Buick an eye-catching booking.
I know CRESTWOOD is encountering a different surface here but there is some rain due and that will help. He did it really well last time and this further step up in trip will only see him improve further. A mark of 63 underestimates his ability and I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t go very close here. I was quite surprised to see him open at 11/4 as that looked too big. Harston lacks experience but is likely to improve now going handicapping and could emerge as the main danger to the favourite. The Vegas Raider ran a bit flat when third at Pontefract, slowly away, and will need to be at his very best to challenge the front pair. Weardiditallgorong won over C&D latest but a 7lb rise is more than enough.

Galway 6.45 National Ballet (11/4)
Deep Impact colt who looks a nice prospect in the making after taking a big step forward to make a winning handicap debut at Limerick last time; relished the step up in trip and with the yard in good form he can follow up here.
An 11lb rise demands more but NATIONAL BALLET came into his own up to this trip at Limerick and with further improvement to come I think he can stay ahead of the assessor. Ever A Dream came good at Fairyhouse last time and looks the most obvious threat to the favourite. She is up a whopping 16lb though so this won’t be easy and that’s what has made her opposable to be honest. Port Sunlight is proving a bit frustrating but again she is unlikely to be too far away. At a massive price it wouldn’t surprise me to see Catena Zapata take a step forward on handicap debut and he might be worth backing to make the frame. Citronnade is another one coming here in winning form but she’ll need more.
