Race 4 Echuca 4.30 Deel Blaster (6/4)
Improving with experience and caught the eye running on strongly from last of all to finish third at Geelong last month; can do better yet and looks well placed to make the breakthrough now; most potential of these.
The Aussie NAP was a non runner last night (as the meeting got abandoned) so we head to Echuca on Monday morning looking to get our best bet back to winning ways. DEEL BLASTER is clearly improving and if he builds on that promising effort last time he will make the breakthrough here. He has the best form on offer for me and with the potential to do better gets a strong vote to come out on top. Tranquil Bay is 0/5 but is a filly who should do better at some point. Needs the switch to this track to bring about further improvement which is possible so she looks the danger to the favourite. Age Of Infinity was a bit disappointing when last seen at Werribee so needs to bounce back on return.

THE AUSSIE NB (SECOND BEST BET) WON AGAIN OVERNIGHT AND IS ON A FOUR-TIMER!
Race 6 Gundagai 6.50 Tap ‘N’ Run (13/8)
Likeable type who gradually got the hang of things last campaign winning gamely by a nose on final start at Wagga; won a recent trial so should be spot on for this and with more to come he can make a winning return.
This should go the way of TAP ‘N’ RUN who surely has more to come after just 3 starts? He did well to win at Wagga on final start and if he stays out of trouble I think he’ll follow up here on return. He won a recent trial so should be fit enough to do himself justice. Bleue’s Choice has form figures of 212 since returning and only went down a nose last time. That form brings him right into it and he is the obvious threat to the selection. Little Hala is a good looking mare and she has been running to a consistent level but I think the front two in the market have greater potential so she could run well without being good enough but does look a solid contender for a place. Hard to fancy much else in here.
