THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) WON LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT SUNSHINE COAST!

Race 4 Sunshine Coast 5.15 King Klaus (6/4)

Talented sort who now has 9 wins to his name after dominating the opposition again at Eagle Farm last month; bidding for a four-timer now and can control the race from a good draw so looks the most likely winner again.

Sticking with the progressive KING KLAUS to win again. He has impressed lately bringing up the hat-trick at Eagle Farm last month. He will push forward here and is likely to take plenty of pegging back again. The way he has won his last two in particular suggests he won’t be beaten here. Pizonie is a decent horse and he should at least keep him honest. He won at Eagle Farm on penultimate start but did fail to back that up last time so that leaves him with enough to find for me. Boblee is a similar type to be honest and he’ll need to better that latest effort to have any sort of a say in the finish here. Desert Man is best of the rest but he needs to show more spark to land a blow at the business end.

Race 6 Kalgoorlie 8.36 Staralign (13/8)

Useful type who goes well fresh and looks well placed to make a winning start for this yard; this easier than what he was contesting when last seen so should prove hard to beat on all known ability; obvious chance.

This looks a good opportunity for STARALIGN starting out for Peter Fernie. He has 7 wins and 11 placings from 27 starts so is a decent horse and given he goes well fresh and the switch to a new barn could spark him into life this looks a great chance for him to get back in the winners enclosure. He should have too much class for these as it looks really winnable. Angry Annie has 8 wins from 24 starts but has finished last at Sale and Ballarat recently so it would take a big leap of faith to back her to come good here especially against the favourite. Mr Genoe is consistent and would pick up the pieces if the selection disappoints. He hasn’t been running badly so I expect him to be in the shake-up here.
