NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS OVER AT YARMOUTH AGAIN ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON!
Yarmouth 4.20 Dusky Lord (5/4)
Big strong type who is improving with experience and backed up his convincing win on return showing a good attitude to get there close home at Newcastle last time; makes handicap debut now and almost certainly has more to come.
The NAP wasn’t given the most convincing ride yesterday so I feel a bit hard done by as we would have landed a nice double. We head to Yarmouth on Wednesday and the likeable DUSKY LORD can bring up the hat-trick. The money was down on return at Brighton and he made no mistake running on all to win by a convincing 3 lengths at the line. He improved again dropping back to the minimum to score by a neck at Newcastle. The second ran huge but he always looked to have matters under control. This requires more but he has scope to progress again back up to 6f on turf. Lots to like and should be too good. Castana Dia has recent form figures of 1212 so she looks the obvious danger.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT BEVERLEY ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON!
Beverley 2.05 Five Stars (11/8)
Sea The Stars filly who created quite a big impression winning impressively on debut at Yarmouth last month; flashed her tail throughout but clearly got a big engine to power clear like that; hard to oppose despite the penalty.
I think FIVE STARS could be pretty smart so she gets a confident vote to make it a perfect 2-2 for Mark Johnston. She really hit the line strong on debut and looked to be learning on the job while running away from them. The penalty makes life a bit tougher but she looks plenty talented and I think she can remain unbeaten. Ribchester filly Nurseclaire is the second fav but she hasn’t looked all that straightforward and connections have reached for a hood now to help her settle. Fonteyn is the most interesting of the two debutants being by Farhh. She will probably need it but I wouldn’t want to see too much support for her in the betting. First Crowd needs plenty more on what we’ve seen so far to figure.
