NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT YARMOUTH AGAIN ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON!
Yarmouth 4.25 Mango Boy (11/4)
Unexposed sort who improved from his debut run to finish third in a good race at Kempton last month; winner followed up since and second won his next two; denied a run when second at Ripon; big shout on handicap debut.
The NAP is on a tough run at the moment so hopefully we can fire in a winner on Thursday before a busy few days. The unexposed MANGO BOY can go one better on handicap debut. This son of New Bay has some strong form in the book and an opening mark of 78 looks to underestimate him. That run at Kempton has worked out particularly well and he would have finished closer to the winner with a clear run at Ripon. Titian looks the obvious danger. He won nicely at Newcastle and has acquitted himself well in defeat the last twice. He has only had a handful of starts so like the selection is likely to improve. Forest Falcon won at Carlisle 3 weeks ago and has to be respected up 5lb.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT PONTEFRACT ON THURSDAY EVENING!
Pontefract 5.40 Rebel Redemption (4/1)
Likeable type who justified strong late support to get back to winning ways at Catterick earlier this month, running on well at the line to make most; that was a career best so turned out quickly under a penalty he has a massive chance.
I know REBEL REDEMPTION has a wide draw here in stall 9 but I guess that’s why we’re getting 4/1 and not shorter. He is a classy sort at this level and turned out quickly under a penalty he looks to have leading claims again. Enderman and Gorgeous General should put good pace to the race and they can help give the fav a nice toe in before finishing best. Mr Orange is a 6-time C&D winner and even though he hasn’t won for a while he has to be feared. Secret Eagle was a creditable third at Carlisle and he could run well on debut for Ruth Jefferson. Of the rest Fossos has first-time blinkers and they could help spark him back into life. If they do he won’t be far away.
