THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 3 AT MOONEE VALLEY ON FRIDAY!

Race 3 Moonee Valley 9.15 Sugartown (6/4)

Improving mare who wound up strongly at Sandown last time just bumping into one; wide draw here but likely to improve again and if she does she looks a danger to all; one to keep safe against these.

The Aussie NAP was disappointing overnight so hopefully we can get back to winning ways on Friday before we head into the weekend. SUGARTOWN went close last time and Damian Lane sticks. If she can navigate her way across from a wide draw watch her in-running odds collapse. She remains open to further improvement so should take a lot of beating. Smokin’ Val has just the 1 win to her name but she is capable and looks the danger to the favourite. She likes to come from well off the pace though so is going to need a fair bit of luck. Cut It Out can also do better but she has been poor the last twice so comes here with enough to prove at present. Hard to see anything else landing a blow.

Race 7 Moruya 7.40 Blaazay (7/4)

Progressive sort who landed back-to-back wins here before getting too far back at Kembla Grange last time; open to further improvement and back here and up in trip should take plenty of beating; one to keep safe.

The step up to a mile should see BLAAZAY improve again and if he does he is comfortably the one they have to beat. He is 3 from 5 at this track and can do better again. Hopefully they go a good gallop as that will suit the selection as he likes to get settled back before having a target to run down. My Blue Jeans is certainly respected on exposed form with 8 wins from 66 starts to his name. He may well race prominently so could be the one to peg back late. Invincible Dash has been largely frustrating with just the 3 wins from 24 starts but again he has the ability to run into a place. Riverstock is best of the rest if she brings her best form to the table but this looks quite a deep contest.
