NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) NEEDS A WINNER AND RUNS AT CHELMSFORD TONIGHT!
Chelmsford 8.30 Lindwall (6/4)
Promising son of Australia who impressed on return staying on strongly to win at Lingfield last month; always getting the best of the argument at Wolverhampton last time; hat-trick beckons now and looks ahead of the handicapper.
There was a sense of inevitability about the way LINDWALL won at Wolverhampton last time and that was very much reflected in the betting with him being a big gamble on the day. He is looking to land a hat-trick of wins now and given he is unexposed over this trip you’d be a brave man to oppose him from this yard. I think he’ll have to improve on that last run as he was a touch workmanlike but I’m pretty sure the best is yet to come. Even at the time of writing the 6/4 is under pressure so he will probably go off a well backed favourite again. Nibras Gold landed back-to-back wins in the summer and has held his form well the last twice. Looks the most obvious danger to this well handicapped fav.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS OVER JUMPS AT WORCESTER TODAY!
Worcester 1.38 Anythingforlove (11/4)
Smart mare who looked progressive over hurdles last season winning 3 from 5 including a Grade 2 at Sandown on final start; promises to do even better as a chaser and this looks a good starting point; one to keep firmly on side.
I’ve been a big fan of ANYTHINGFORLOVE for Jamie Snowden and given what she achieved over hurdles connections will be hopeful that she can make her mark over fences now. This is competitive but she has tons of potential and I think she can make a winning start. It will probably be at the main expense of Nada To Prada. She won her first two starts over hurdles before finding a Grade 2 a bit too hot to handle behind Faivoir on final start. She was better than the bare result but even so is going to need to improve now tackling fences to beat the selection. Little River Bay failed to complete when last seen but also deserves a second look now going over the larger obstacles.
