Kempton 4.40

Not the best race but that’s to be expected given it’s a claimer so GOOD EARTH definitely looks worth another chance. He has been in great form including when going close over course and distance two runs back. He burst a blood vessel last week so you can put a line through that blip and I think he will go very well in a weak affair.

Equitation has been running in much better races and will be a danger to all back in this company. Of the rest old boy Steelriver has been running well at sprint trips and could surprise a few carrying a nice weight in this.

Kempton 5.15

Helvetique continues to run well and was a good second at Nottingham last time. I never really felt like she had the tenacity to win that race though and I think she might be opposable again this evening. There is no juice in her price whatsoever. I prefer the chances of OLYMPIC EAGLE after he bounces back from a poor showing at Windsor to finish fourth at Nottingham last time. I think he has more to offer and switching to the AW could see him improve enough to win a race like this.

Hard to pinpoint an exact danger but Kendred Fire could be a bit overpriced. He hasn’t been running too badly and if they go hard enough here that could suit him. Liv Lucky has something to find on form but she is unexposed and could step forward on handicap debut.

This looks like a good quality Novice event with a few of these with above average form. GREAT HUNTER‘s win last time was hard to forget, making all in very good style. That was a big step-forward from his debut run and if improving again as you would expect this penalty shouldn’t stop him going in again.

Substantial looks the danger after a good comeback run 2 weeks ago and if coming on for that run he is most likely to challenge the selection. State Secretary has the form to challenge but hasn’t been seen since pulling up in May so hard to trust fully.

Twilight Son filly NOTEBOOK was somewhat of an eye-catcher when fourth on debut over a mile here so it wasn’t a major surprise to see her upset the odds-on fav Lord Lovelace at Chelmsford last time albeit she was somewhat overlooked in the market. She is clearly going the right way and she won that in a way that suggested she can improve again. The step back a furlong to this trip last time looked the right move and it should suit again.

Labaaqa makes her debut for John and Thady Gosden and has to be feared but I think the favourite sets quite a good standard to aim at so she’ll have to be pretty forward to get competitive. Dawn Approach colt Lone Fighter looks the danger as he is likely to improve from that encouraging fifth on debut at Chelmsford. We haven’t seen him for nearly a year though so he might need it.

In a wide open handicap like this SHARLA looks a good bet at a nice each-way price. She was last seen running at Sandown over further which wouldn’t have suited as she is very much at home at Kempton. She is a course and distance winner and is now back down to a mark she can win off and has a great chance with claimer Rhys Clutterbuck taking a further 5lbs off her back.

The dangers have to be Epic Express and Proclaimer who are in great for but I am not sure if either have much more wiggle room in there current marks and the bigger price of Sharla appeals more.

Kempton 7.15

Candleford obviously has to be greatly respected here as he acquitted himself well in defeat when third to Siskany in a fiercely competitive handicap at Newmarket last time. He tackles poly track for the first time and could have more to offer yet but he looks short enough in here against some promising types. One of them looks to be VALUE TIP for Charlie Appleby. This son of Dubawi arrives chasing a hat-trick of wins after clocking a career best at Haydock last time. That form looks solid and he is only up 3lb for that half a length victory and I think everything points towards another big run tonight.

Marching Army improved to win here last month and that was a good effort but a 5lb higher mark makes life a lot tougher in potentially a better race again. Danville won at Epsom last time and also has to be considered now sent handicapping for the first time.

Kempton 7.45

This is one of the harder races on the card to call with HASHTAGMETOO getting the narrow vote. She has been in great form winning once and placing in the other 3 races on her last 4 starts. She is never far away and could have more scope for improvement on this surface and her form is much more consistent than most of these.

Rushmore is the danger if getting away on terms as that has cost him a few times but he still finishes strongly. Of the rest Victory Star has scope for plenty of improvement and if liking the surface will go well.

Kempton 8.15

This is more competitive than the betting is suggesting but even still I want to keep SUPER SUPERJACK on side after he clocked a career best winning at Bath a fortnight ago. He is up 4lb but looks on an upward curve and under likely patient tactics he should be finishing strongly under Rob Hornby. Dance To Paris and Author’s Dream are going to set the pace and hopefully they go a good gallop.

Blazon has won his last two with Luke Morris getting a good tune out of him and he is feared most of those in opposition. Pianissimo has won three times on the AW and could bounce back. Sarim has also won here and has had a wind op since last seen so also needs consideration.
