NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN YESTERDAY AND IS NOW CHASING A HAT-TRICK!
Stratford 2.40 Call Of The Wild (10/11)
Created a big impression stretching right away from the opposition in the closing stages to win his bumper by a wide margin at Huntingdon; goes hurdling now and only going to improve; could be a smart prospect.
The NAP landed again yesterday as Great Hunter put them to the sword at Kempton. He looks a really exciting horse. We head over Jumps on Thursday and CALL OF THE WILD should make a winning hurdling debut at Stratford. He won his bumper in the style of a really promising horse and put away since the plan would always have been to go novice hurdling with him this season. He could be a really decent prospect for Alan King and I’m expecting him to make a winning start here in the famous JP McManus silks. Onemorefortheroad is a useful yardstick and he looks the danger with experience on side. Millbank Flyer has had a wind op so connections will be hoping for an improved display.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS OVER JUMPS AT FFOS LAS THIS AFTERNOON!
Ffos Las 1.20 Zinc White (11/10)
Good looking sort who quickly reached a decent level on the Flat winning his last two starts over staying trips; related to a jumps winner and changed hands for £310,000 so is a fascinating recruit to this sphere.
Hopes will be high that ZINC WHITE can make a winning hurdles debut at Ffos Las on Thursday. He was a classy sort on the Flat and he changed hands for big money so it will be disappointing if he can’t get off to a perfect start. George Bancroft made a winning start over hurdles at Fontwell but this is tougher carrying a penalty. He can improve though so still looks the main danger to the favourite. Moka De Vassy and Cornicello look the two likely to be fighting it out for third spot. The latter won twice on the Flat in France as a 2yo but is likely to need more time and experience. Moka De Vassy could be more of a chasing type in time so might also come on for the outing.
