Race 8 York 9.00 Roman Flirt (11/10)

Smart mare who landed back-to-back wins at Ascot prior to going down just half a length last time; back up slightly in trip here which will suit and obvious chance of getting herself back in the winners enclosure.

With 7 wins from 22 starts including 8 placed efforts the likeable ROMAN FLIRT can go in again. She is a very useful mare at this level and if all goes to plan she should come out on top. Last time out winner Tiff Has Spoken is probably the danger. She did it well at Northam last time and if she builds on that she could give the selection a race. Our Idyll has 5 wins from 26 starts but will need to find more to challenge as her recent form has hardly been inspiring. Admiral Promo landed back-to-back races at Toodyay and Moore but went off the boil at Ascot and this is tougher again I think. Hard to see any of the others at bigger prices landing a blow as the market looks to have this spot on.

Race 7 Penola 6.45 Wild Willy (6/4)

Progressive sort who has won 4 from 8 starts and looks to have turned a corner lately winning his last two; did it convincingly last time and with more to come gets a confident vote to come out on top again; hat-trick beckons.

This looks a great opportunity for the likeable WILD WILLY to bring up the hat-trick. He has taken his form up a notch recently and is 2 from 3 at this track. He should come into his own over this trip and can see these off. Dr Dee Dee has 9 wins to his name so is definitely respected on exposed form. Might just be bumping into an improver though. Rhythmatic has won 15 times from 78 starts and should give his running again with 6 wins at this track. Good Girl Bella finished second on her only start at this course and might be the value to hit the frame at a price. Star Jan has gone off the boil but on her best form she could also has a bit of a squeak in here. Fav hard to look past.
