THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS OVER JUMPS AT FONTWELL ON SUNDAY!
Fontwell 3.43 Natural History (1/1)
Impressed hacking up at Plumpton back in March; Sandown run best forgiven and back to form when denied just half a length on final start last season; looks ahead of his mark so should be hard to beat here.
This looks between the top 2 in the betting and ready preference is for the talented NATURAL HISTORY for Gary Moore. This horse has tons of natural ability and he showed that transferring his Flat form over hurdles to bolt up at Plumpton. He has been beaten twice since but he looks ahead of his mark and this looks a good opportunity for him to double his tally in this sphere. Quinta Do Mar won well at Carlisle on handicap debut on return last month and looks the danger but is up 9lb which makes life tougher against the fav. Mercian Prince showed a good attitude to prevail over fences last time but I’m not convinced with him going back over hurdles now.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS OVER JUMPS AT CHELTENHAM ON SUNDAY!
Cheltenham 3.30 I Like To Move It (1/1)
Promising type who made a really bright start over hurdles winning head in chest at Worcester and then improved again to beat Tritonic over C&D last month; more to come yet and looks the one to beat in this field.
I still think I LIKE TO MOVE IT can jump better so the fact he is already 2-2 over hurdles bodes well for the future. This is competitive but I think he is the one to beat given he is proven over track and trip. He is learning on the job and with further improvement should have too much. Washington has a bright future too for Olly Murphy and did it well on debut over hurdles at Bangor. This is obviously tougher but he is unexposed and he should give the fav a race at least. Sonigino is an intriguing French recruit for Paul Nicholls and he can improve too but this is quite a tough ask on debut on these shores. Pikar is the outsider of the field and he needs more on that Chepstow second.
