THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN OVERNIGHT AND IS NOW ON FOR A SIX-TIMER!

Race 6 Northam 8.30 Galactic Storm (6/5)

Improving fast; slowly away on debut but shaped with plenty of promise finishing third, not beaten far; stepped forward from that to win convincingly at Ascot last time; sure to progress again and hard to oppose.

The Aussie NAP went in again overnight so we now head into Thursday chasing a SIX-TIMER! Hopefully we can keep this run going long into the weekend as there’s some really good racing Down Under. GALACTIC STORM is the selection overnight as he impressed me last time despite looking far from the finished article. With further improvement he should follow up and make it 2 wins from 3. Ima Sly Fox was a good second at Ascot last time and looks the danger to the favourite. Brave Call is next in the betting and he has just the 1 win from 25 starts so is surely vulnerable? Arno The Fox has a similar profile so while he could run well I think the selection will have their measure at the finish.

THE AUSSIE NB (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 7 AT WYONG ON THURSDAY!

Race 7 Wyong 6.30 Buba (2/1)

Likeable mare who won in good style on penultimate start at Hawkesbury in testing conditions; excuses at Rosehill last time but not beaten far; can bounce back here and if she does she should have too much.

This doesn’t look an overly strong contest so if BUBA bounces back I think she’ll win. She failed to handle the going at Rosehill so I think you can put a line through that. Back at this track where she has placed twice (third and a second) in two attempts she won’t need to improve much to take this out under Tommy Berry. Carolina Fire was second to the selection at Hawkesbury so is strictly held if the fav runs her race. Baka Da Man struck at Port Macquarie last time but I think this is tougher so he’s going to need more. Could be the danger though if building on that again. Mon Amore likely to be involved in the pace burn-up so needs to pull out more to hold off those finishing best late.
