NAP – Best selection of the evening
Lingfield 11.40 Owen Little (13/8)
Likeable type who left previous form well behind to finish second on handicap debut at Kempton; quickly improved again to open his account at the same venue last time with that form franked since; should follow up.
It’s hard to look past OWEN LITTLE here as he took a nice step forward to beat Smith by a head at Kempton last month. He was slowly into stride and had quite a lot of ground to make up but still finished best and got in front where it mattered. The second has won since so the form has been boosted and with more to come he can confirm those placings. I expect them to finish the 1-2 as that looks the form to focus on. Global Wonder won at Brighton when last seen on the Flat but has been well held over hurdles since. Fitness on side but this is quite competitive so he’ll need more. Hannalite was second to Smith last time so that sort of form also brings him into the equation but he will need to improve.

Southwell 12.55 Une De La Seniere (5/2)
Likeable mare who won three times over hurdles and looks the type to make a chaser; should be staying strongly when the others have cried enough and no surprise if she makes a winning start over the larger obstacles.
This doesn’t look a deep race with just 5 going to post and UNE DE LA SENIERE is the one that appeals most on chase debut. She has some good form over 3 miles and on her best hurdles form she would be able to mix it with any of these. She could even improve for going over fences and I expect her to go well here. She’ll stay 3 miles well and looks to have plenty going for her including her price as I’d have her favourite over Alpha Carinae. The latter is the slight favourite at the time of writing and is relatively unexposed over this trip and in handicaps in general so will be a threat to all of these but did run below par on return at Kempton last time so will need to be a lot sharper than that.

The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Lingfield and Southwell on Tuesday.
