NAP – Best selection of the evening
Ludlow 12.15 Green Book (5/6)
Caught the eye going down just a length at Haydock to an improver and took a big step forward himself to win impressively last time; step up in trip will suit and looks hard to beat with yard firing in the winners.
This step up in trip should bring about further improvement for GREEN BOOK and if it does he should follow up. He did all his best work at the finish to win convincingly at Haydock last time and is comfortably the one to beat on that form. He drew nearly 5 lengths clear from Chti Balko and that horse is a decent yardstick. He came 6 lengths clear from the rest so there is no reason to doubt the form. What A Glance made a winning start for this yard at Worcester but that race did look to fall apart and up 8lb he couldn’t follow up at Southwell. He should still run his race here so may well emerge as the danger but has enough to find to overhaul the fav. Bridge North also has some potential.

Southwell 7.00 Beggarman (7/4)
Likeable type who comes here chasing a hat-trick after showing a good attitude to get on top narrowly at Chelmsford last time; 2lb rise fair and looks the most likely winner granted usual luck in-running.
Toronado gelding BEGGARMAN can bring up the hat-trick here for Hughie Morrison. This good looking chestnut was always getting the better of the argument to beat Socially Shady a head at Chelmsford last month. He is only up 2lb and can confirm that form with the latter here. He had to be switched wide to challenge last time so looked value for more to me. Socially Shady has since backed up that effort going close again at Wolverhampton but I do feel he has a tendency of finding one too good and that may well be how it plays out again here. Victoriano remains in good form and might not be far away either if running his race again. Sophar Sogood has won here but needs more.
