THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 6 AT GOSFORD ON FRIDAY MORNING!

Race 6 Gosford 5.30 Flying Witness (10/11)

Good looking chestnut filly who caught the eye running on well from off the pace to finish third on return at Randwick; improved again to finish second at Canterbury last time; this easier and looks a great opportunity.

Another busy night Down Under and FLYING WITNESS catches the eye at Gosford. This filly is improving all the time and either of her last two runs would be good enough to take this out. She will be fitter again and looks the most likely winner on paper. Vega Prince has shown ability the last twice and has to enter the reckoning off the back of those efforts. Ba Ai Gai Ni was beaten less than a length into second at Wyong but will need to improve on that to upset the jolly. Greaves has a squeak as he should strip fitter from that Newcastle run but best hopes are for a place. Gulf Of Sidra has potential going forward but probably needs more time and experience to be seen to best effect.

THE AUSSIE NB (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 8 AT PORT LINCOLN OVERNIGHT!

Race 8 Port Lincoln 7.55 Centrefield (11/8)

Promising mare who has won 4 from 7 starts at this track including twice over this trip; came on for her reappearance run to win impressively over track and trip last time and looks to have plenty going for her again.

Hard to look past CENTREFIELD here as she bids to enhance her decent C&D record. She did it really well again last time and should have too much for these rivals. Bryan’s Babe landed back-to-back wins before finishing fourth last time. She has to be respected on exposed form with 14 wins to her name from 64 starts but the fav is improving and if she steps forward again she should have too many gears. Messerschmitt has just the 4 wins from 31 starts so he could run well but looks a bit vulnerable for win purposes. Midnight Brawler could be good value to run into a place. He has performed creditably the last twice winning at Port Lincoln on penultimate start so can run well again.
