NAP – Best selection of the evening
Newcastle 2.33 Crystal Glory (11/10)
Likeable type who showed a good attitude to make a winning start over hurdles at Hexham and looked potentially useful following up over slightly further here last month; good chance to complete the hat-trick.
The NAP is up and down at the moment so hopefully we can get it back to winning ways on Saturday. We head over to Newcastle where CRYSTAL GLORY looks a good bet to remain unbeaten for Nicky Richards. This horse was 2-2 in points and has gone 2-2 under Rules too winning both starts over hurdles so far. I thought he did it really well here last time and with further improvement to come he should have too much for Dibble Decker. The latter has decent potential himself but he lacks experience and might come on for the run. Del La Mar Rocket didn’t jump well enough on hurdles debut at Hexham but with that under his belt he should fare better here but the front 2 could still be a cut above.

Sandown 12.40 Martello Sky (3/1)
Progressive mare who made it 4 wins from her last 6 starts showing a gutsy attitude to stay on strongly and prevail at Cheltenham last month; more to come yet and while this is tougher she looks firmly on the upgrade.
I’ve been a big fan of MARTELLO SKY for a while now and she still looks to be improving. She showed an attitude to die for to prevail at Cheltenham last month and given she is proven at this level already I think she can serve it up to the Mullins mare Gauloise. The latter is fav at the time of writing but she was beaten stepping up to this trip at Fairyhouse and hasn’t been seen for 254 days either so I don’t think it will be as straightforward as the market is suggesting and the selection looks the clear value at the time of writing. Skyace was the horse that beat Gauloise but she has gone off the boil since and if hard to recommend as she needs to bounce back in a major way.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Sandown and Newcastle on Saturday afternoon.
