Race 11 Ascot 10.33 Burnya To Survive (6/5)
Promising sort who has won 3 of his 4 starts to date and was impressive again here despite only winning by a small margin; extra yardage firmly in his favour and with more to come can bring up the four-timer.
The Aussie NAP landed again overnight so we’re now on a HAT-TRICK heading into a new week. Good card from Ascot and BURNYA TO SURVIVE catches the eye in the lucky last for Paul Harvey and Jason Miller. This 4yo has won his last 3 and keeps improving. He goes up to 1400m for the first time but should relish the extra yardage and looks the most likely winner again for me. She’s A Sweet Deel has won 3 from 5 and she looks the danger to the favourite. She is a perfect 3-3 over the trip and has further progress to come so I expect the pair to battle this one out. Creator is a nice horse too but he is much more exposed than the two mentioned above. Reign Of Fire could also run a solid race.

Race 2 Armidale 3.20 Askebar (6/4)
Useful filly who has gradually improved and ran her best race to date when third at Port Macquarie last time; more to come over this trip and looks to have found a great chance to make the breakthrough now.
From the perfect draw ASKEBAR can get on the rail and make all here. She is definitely coming to the boil judging by her third at Port Macquarie last time and with scope to improve again looks to have found the right race now. She is 6/4 at the time of writing but I expect her to go off shorter than that. Keep Me Loyal has shown promise in two starts and could emerge as the danger to the favourite. Maxwell Terrace didn’t shape badly when fifth on debut at Grafton but this definitely requires another step up. My Water Lilly is 0/3 but could only manage midfield in an average contest last time so definitely needs to show more to get competitive. Tucson Valley has a similar profile and also needs more.
