NAP – Best selection of the evening
Carlisle 2.10 Zabeel Champion (7/4)
Reached a decent level on the Flat and did well to make a winning hurdles debut at Leicester with the second having won twice since; bumped into a smart prospect last time; good chance to get back to winning ways.
The NAP landed again yesterday as Sir Gerhard powered home to win at Leopardstown and make it 2-2 over hurdles. We head into a new week chasing a HAT-TRICK now and ZABEEL CHAMPION looks the one to be on at Carlisle. He reached a decent level on the Flat for Mark Johnston and did well to make a winning start in this sphere at Leicester in November. The horse he beat Ledford has won 2 since and then he bumped into Nurse Susan. That horse looks a really nice prospect and it is form to follow. With more to come now handicapping he should have too much for these. Malpas won over C&D on return and has run creditably since so looks the one likely to emerge as the main danger.

Wolverhampton 4.55 Dark Design (2/1)
Likeable type who did well to run on strongly from off the pace and win with a bit to spare at Chelmsford on debut for this yard; given too much to do when a good third over C&D last time; same mark and sure to go close.
This looks a great chance for DARK DESIGN to get back to winning ways. He only won by a neck on stable debut but was value for more that day and while he was beaten last time it was only by a couple of lengths and I think his 7lb claimer Christian Howarth gave him too much to do. He runs off the same mark and if he can get him a bit closer he should be running these down in the closing stages. Okaidi was disappointing at Southwell, finding little off the bridle. It’s hard to recommend him off the back of that so he has a bit to prove. A greater danger could be Sparkle In His Eye who scored at Kempton last time and up just 3lb should at least keep the favourite honest here.
