NAP – Best selection of the evening
Kempton 7.30 Arousing (1/1)
Smart filly who found another gear to get back on top to win convincingly over track and trip last time; form looks progressive and with more to come expected to get the better of these and follow up; one to keep on side.
After just a handful of starts I’m sure the best is yet to come with AROUSING. She still didn’t look the finished article winning over C&D last time so with further improvement on the cards she is a confident bet to follow up under useful 5lb claimer Adam Farragher. She is clearly quite an enthusiastic filly who likes to get on with it but she is still learning and the way she went again last time was quite taking for the grade. There is more pace on here with both Secret Handsheikh and Little Boy Blue likely to take each other on so that could be a perfect scenario for her if she manages to settle just in behind before hopefully quickening past late. The biggest danger looks to be Puerto De Vega.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS OVER JUMPS AT HUNTINGDON!
Huntingdon 4.30 Champ Is Real (1/1)
Left previous form behind to land a big gamble on handicap chase debut at Musselburgh, doing it with plenty to spare; followed up hard held at the same venue last time; unexposed so should bring up the hat-trick.
We head to Huntingdon for our second best bet on Wednesday and I’m expecting CHAMP IS REAL to go off a short price. He won head in chest last time and arrives here on a hat-trick now. The switch to fences and handicaps has been the making of him and he is completely unexposed. This won’t take a lot of winning so he really shouldn’t have any excuses. Queen Of The Court is the only conceivable danger for me having won 2 of her last 3. She only did it by a head at Taunton though and is definitely going to need more to trouble the favourite here. Lord Sparky is at least consistent but he was heavily beaten last time so will need to bounce back and even then is probably only playing for a place.
