THE AUSTRALIAN NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 2 AT ALBURY ON THURSDAY!
Race 2 Albury 3.10 Dunalley (11/10)
Improving with experience and hasn’t had much luck since returning; always going to do better as her stamina is drawn out so granted usual luck in-running should take a fair bit of beating here; worth keeping safe.
I can see DUNALLEY progressing again for this step up in trip and she looks the most likely winner for me. She was awkward away on return before finishing third at Pakenham and then was hampered in the run when third at the mile last time. This further step up in distance can see her finally get off the mark. Lumber Dream has a similar profile but he might not be as strong over this trip. He showed a good attitude last time though so might still be the danger. No Question has been thereabouts in recent starts and is another one worth considering. Common Request won at Wagga last time but struggled badly over this trip at Mildura and has a bit to prove off that.

THE AUSTRALIAN NB (SECOND BEST BET) WON LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT PAKENHAM!
Race 5 Pakenham 8.45 Versilia (6/5)
Likeable mare who left previous form behind to strike over C&D at the start of the month; only going to improve from that and looks well placed to follow up; inside gate and will be ridden aggressively; take some catching.
The blinkers really helped VERSILIA last time and that visual impression was backed up by the clock too! She is open to further improvement and I think she’ll have too much for these rivals. Craig Williams will go forward from the box seat and she should go through the gears before always doing enough. Zagusto is a handy sort in the making and he looks the main threat to the favourite. Sempreinte impressed at Nowra but failed to back that up at Cranbourne and has a bit to prove off the back of that. Hard to really envisage anything else springing an upset here and I think the two market protagonists will be fighting this one out and a fair way from home as well.
