Wednesday’s Best Tips
LET’S GET THE GYTO DD BACK FIRING! Racing on Wednesday from Wolverhampton, Ascot, Pontefract, Punchestown, Brighton and Musselburgh. Daily Double pays 7/1!
NAP – Best selection of the evening
Brighton 5.35 Roxzoff (7/4)
Progressive form this season showing a good attitude to win at Wolverhampton and then following up impressively at Southwell; good effort over a mile before bumping into another nice horse latest; hard to beat.
Autumn Festival is a decent horse so for ROXZOFF to get within a nose of winning at Beverley last time was a very decent effort. He has won 2 of his last 4 and looks sure to go close here. He is only a 3yo so there could easily be further improvement on the cards yet. Cotai Glory gelding Fat Gladiator clocked a career best winning at Kempton last time and is an obvious danger. I have the front pair in the betting a fair bit clear of the rest so I fully expect them to finish the 1-2. If you want some insurance then perhaps back the reverse forecast. Naughty Nadine ran well when second at Catterick but I do think this is a bit tougher so she’ll need more to land a blow. Bascinet best of the rest on handicap debut.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT MUSSELBURGH ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT!
Musselburgh 7.55 Brazen Akoya (7/4)
Likeable filly who improved in good style last season winning 3 of her 5 starts; denied just half a length on final start and given she won fresh last season she should be going very close here; likely to try and make all.
This looks a great chance for BRAZEN AKOYA to win on reappearance. She did so last season and went on to win 3 of her 5 starts in all. She actually clocked a career best in defeat at Lingfield on final start and should be better than her current mark. Loose Lips is the danger for Keith Dalgleish. He will appreciate coming back to this minimum trip and while he needs to bounce back I think he will but I can still see the filly being too good for him. Eruption is obviously lightly raced so should have more to come but this is a stiff enough task. Chant For More has had a wind op but I can’t have him on what he has shown so far. The rest are all difficult to warm to as well so the fav should be winning.
