Likes this C&D with 2 of his 4 career wins coming over track and trip; caught the eye on return and backed that up again going down just a neck at Pontefract; back up in trip will suit and hard to oppose here.

The money has been relentless for SOME NIGHTMARE at Chepstow tonight and it’s easy to see why when you dig into his form. He is one of them horses that feels like he has been about for a while but is still just a 5yo. He has 4 career wins to his name and 2 of those have come over this C&D. It clearly suits him well and following two big runs so far this term he can get back to winning ways now. He is off a career high mark here but has won off 67 which is only 3lb lower so with so much in his favour that doesn’t concern me. Kingscote has been riding well and that has to be another positive. I thought Vape was the danger but he has drifted markedly now. Ruby Cottage might be the one for second.

Redcar 4.56 Ha Long Bay (15/8)

Good looking sort who was given plenty to do but came rattling home to get up late at Catterick last time; no surprise to see him turned out quickly under a penalty and should take all the beating back up to a mile again.

After showing bits and pieces of promise as a 2yo HA LONG BAY improved again to make the breakthrough at Catterick last time. He hit the line in good style so this step back up to a mile will help him improve again. He carries a penalty but I think connections have found a winnable race for him to follow up and he looks the most likely winner. Sweetest Company won at Newcastle last month and was slowly away when only sixth over C&D last time so might be the danger with a better break. Antwasaprettypenny is lightly raced and should have more to come but she will need to improve to get involved at the business end. Audit is interesting up in trip but certainly needs to improve.
