THE AUSTRALIAN NAP WON AGAIN OVERNIGHT AND IS NOW ON A HAT-TRICK!
Race 7 Werribee 7.00 I Am Ready (6/5)
Likeable mare who took her form up a notch to win impressively at Ararat on penultimate start; big run up in grade when second at Geelong last month; hard to oppose with more to come and a good draw to attack.
I’m expecting I AM READY to bounce out from a low draw and try and make all. She has been performing to a decent level and that was a big run against some good horses last time. This trip is slightly shorter and if she gets in front dictating under Craig Newitt I don’t think she’ll be caught. Shock And Awe looks the danger having chased home Kasami when denied just a nose here last time. A reproduction of that would see him emerge as the main danger to the favourite. Lily Allez has a similar profile to the latter but just doesn’t arrive in the same form having finished just midfield at Ararat when last seen back in January. She’ll probably need this run and we’ll know more after that.

Race 1 Ipswich 3.42 Devil’s Rite (5/4)
Promising sort who has looked progressive in recent starts rattling off the hat-trick at Toowoomba when last seen back in November; scope to improve again and if fit and ready to roll should make a winning return.
The progressive DEVIL’S RITE can make a winning return having won a trial recently. He is open to further improvement and is looking to make it four straight. His form stacks up and I’ll be surprised if he is beaten here. Sheezasinga has 3 wins to her name so has to be feared. She likes it here too so looks the obvious threat. Better Rush has run well the last twice but you’d think she’d need more against the top 2 in here. Copper Sunset is a decent yardstick but might need this return to action so perhaps best watched here. San Antonio has just the 1 win from 9 attempts and went off the boil when last seen so is hard to recommend on reappearance. The rest just don’t look good enough.
