Promising type who looked good winning at Northam before excuses final start; likely to have improved again since and no surprise to see him make a winning return here in what looks a winnable assignment.

Given TALK IT UP is proven fresh I think he can make a winning return here. He is already 2 from 6 and is building a nice profile. Rawiller is in the saddle and all looks set for a big run – definitely reflected in the betting. His style needs a bit of luck in-running but if getting the gaps should be thundering home. Shadow Boom is a bit more exposed and is 0/4 at the trip but at least she has won at this track and if she bounces back she could be the main danger. First Moment brings winning form to the table but this does look tougher and she’ll need more with just the 1 win from 8 attempts over the distance. The rest are all looking exposed but Jolly Lace might go better than her price suggests.

Race 1 Sunshine Coast 3.35 Jewel Flight (11/10)

Likeable mare who has shown more than enough to win a race like this and given time since that Doomben third she could easily make a winning return before going on to tackle much better company.

The money came for JEWEL FLIGHT on final start last campaign and while she couldn’t land the gamble she ran with plenty of promise and if she has improved since she could take a lot of beating. Uzerli is 0/13 and is the closest in the betting so that tells you about the weakness of the race. I Am Winkles had some strong form early on but hasn’t found much the last twice and would need more to figure here as weak as this looks. Hot Or Not might be the one to chase the favourite home following a good run when second at Sunshine Coast. Forbidden One and Bridezilla might shape well but hard to see either of them springing an upset. The rest all looks pretty limited and don’t look worth a mention.
