NAP – Best tip overnight
THE AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN THE OPENER AT KYNETON ON MONDAY MORNING!
Race 1 Kyneton 3.30 Magnalicious (11/10)
Improving mare who has form good enough to take this out; only beaten a head at Bendigo last month and a reproduction of that would likely make her tough to beat so worth keeping on side against these.
Not the best race but even so it’s hard to look past MAGNALICIOUS for George Osborne and Alana Kelly. This mare hasn’t done much wrong and has knocked on the door the last 3 times finishing runner-up. She missed just a head last time and looks set to make the breakthrough now. Girasol ran well on debut but failed to back that up when only fifth of seven at Moe last time. If she bounces back she might be the one to challenge the favourite but I think she has enough to prove on the balance. Miss Mamba was down the field on debut but she is likely to improve and looks to have a bit of potential so might pose a greater threat. Hard to see much else landing a blow in here.

Race 6 Taree 6.10 Sophistication (5/2)
Likeable filly who looked good winning at Benalla back in February; beaten twice since but had excuses and could easily resume her progress now in a race as winnable as this; definitely looks to be worth chancing.
I think if SOPHISTICATION gets back to her best she will win this. She impressed at Benalla and has had excuses since. She just got caught too far back last time and was always on the backfoot as a result. She is a lot better than that and if she produces her best she should have too much for these rivals. Kiss Her won last time and looms as a danger but she lacks experience and has to prove herself up to this trip for the first time. Sippin Season is already looking a bit exposed and will need more but I can see him running to a consistent level at least. Yorikiri won last time but this is tougher so he’ll need more if he is to go and follow up. Similar comments apply to In Hot Water as well.
