MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 5 AT CANTERBURY PARK ON WEDNESDAY!
Race 5 Canterbury Park 6.10 Cross Talk (1/1)
Promising sort with 2 wins from 3 already; had excuses on final start when third here and following an impressive trial win he looks sure to resume his progress and get firmly back on track; definitely one to keep safe.
I’m looking forward to seeing CROSS TALK back out under Tim Clark. This horse has looked promising and I fully expect him to make a winning return here. He won 2 from 3 last campaign and is open to significant improvement again. Speed Legend has just the 2 wins from 9 starts and would have been the danger off that Randwick third but he was poor at Rosehill last time and I can’t see him being a threat here as enough to prove. Brimstone has won 2 of his last 3 and looks most likely to chase the selection home. Game Theory has a squeak but probably best to hit the frame as is better than what he showed at Warwick Farm last time. Hard to recommend anything at bigger prices.

Race 1 Sale 3.25 Winning Revolution (11/8)
Well backed in the betting on debut where he was awkward into stride but was sent to the front and only edged out late on to go down just a head; with natural improvement on that should be hard to beat in this field.
No doubt that race WINNING REVOLUTION was beaten a head in on debut is better than this so with usual improvement he should have too much for these. I’m surprised he isn’t odds-on at the time of writing but I have no doubt he’ll be heavily punted before the off. Eros is the danger having finished runner-up on debut at Geelong and then a solid third at the Valley last time. He has more to come but I just think he lacks the potential of the favourite but we’ll see how this pans out. It definitely looks between the pair as I’ll be surprised if Innocent Enuff is good enough to make a winning debut. The Guava is a huge price at 50/1 and should do better in time so might be worth keeping an eye on.
