MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 5 AT TOOWOOMBA ON SATURDAY MORNING!

Race 5 Toowoomba 10.10 Little Mix (6/5)

Improving filly who ran on strongly from off the pace to win very impressively by 8 lengths over track and trip last time; more to come for sure and looks to have found a good opportunity to go and follow up here.

This looks a nice opportunity for the progressive LITTLE MIX to make it 3 wins from just 5 starts. She is 1 from 1 over this trip and looks to have plenty going for her. She blew rivals away last time and any improvement on that would see her salute the judge again you’d think. Anyway You Want It is second fav but has just the 1 win from 14 starts to his name which has to be concerning. He won’t be far away but is likely to find the filly too strong. Idling By has a similar profile and looks a decent play for a place as well but hard to envisage her springing an upset. Top Boy is at least still unexposed and might have more to come so deserves a second look. Gracie Blue likely best of the rest.

Race 2 Newcastle 3.30 Show Me Your Love (6/4)

Promising filly who is bred to be pretty smart and made a bright start going down a length on debut before stepping forward to win impressively at Mudgee in testing ground; can progress again and should win.

A lot like my NAP I’m really looking forward to seeing SHOW ME YOUR LOVE out again for Kris Lees and Mitchell Bell. This filly has looked pretty exciting and you just know she is going to improve again. I think she’ll make it 2 wins from 3 starts before tackling tougher company. Excelladus won at Warwick Farm and then finished third there last time so looks the danger on recent form. He needs to improve again though. Bootscooter won at Scone last time but this looks tougher again so she’ll also need to find more to land a blow at the business end. The rest all look pretty limited with The Gift having just the 1 win from 11 attempts. King Of Hearts is a fair yardstick but again hard to see him winning this.
