MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 6 AT SUNSHINE COAST ON FRIDAY MORNING!
Race 6 Sunshine Coast 9.00 Perseids (6/4)
Promising type who already has a couple of wins to his name and ran well twice over this trip finishing second on both occasions; only denied narrowly last time; everything points towards another big run here.
A lot like Stateside tonight it’s not the best racing but PERSEIDS does look a standout at Sunshine Coast overnight. He has 2 wins and 3 placed efforts from just the 8 starts so is building a nice profile. He has gone close the last 3 times and deserves to get his head back in front now. Reliable Ruby has a similar profile to be honest but ran a bit flat when only midfield at Ipswich. Phantom Spirit is more exposed but still has to be respected as has been running well. Knockknee has recorded all 3 of his wins over this trip including two here so might be one to run well at a bigger price. There west all look up against it with probably Who Shot Maggie the best of them.

Race 3 Goulburn 4.05 Reach For Gold (7/4)
Good looking sort who made a bright start winning on debut at Canberra and then backed that up to finish second over track and trip last time just bumping into one; this looks easier and can get back to winning ways.
With two recent trial wins to his name REACH FOR GOLD should be up to making a winning return here. He impressed on debut and then didn’t do a lot wrong when second last time. He is likely to have improved since and should have too many gears for this field. Dijon has more to come but was only fourth last time and will need to better that to live with this favourite. Charlemagne won here before struggling in a race with more strength in depth at Rosehill last month. He could have a squeak of hitting the frame if bouncing back. Pink Panther is quite a big price is you put a line through that disappointment last time. His two wins were convincing at Queanbeyan before that.
