MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS IN RACE 3 AT DUBBO ON SUNDAY!
Race 3 Dubbo 4.26 Gallant Star (10/11)
Ran out an impressive winner on debut scoring by four and a half lengths over C&D at the start of the month; sure to improve from that and drawn to attack so likely to have plenty of supporters again here; can remain unbeaten.
I’m happy to stick with the unbeaten GALLANT STAR at Dubbo overnight. This 2yo looked exciting winning on debut and with improvement a near certainty he should have no problem going a perfect 2-2 here. Brief Statement is a nice filly and she should keep him honest. She has just the 1 win from 7 starts though. She is 0/4 over the trip as well so definitely needs more but is likely the one to chase this favourite home. Hiraishin didn’t shape badly when fourth at Scone last time but this looks tougher again so he’ll need more to land any sort of a blow at the business end. Shooting Zaa ran well when second at Armidale but again this has a deeper look to it so she’ll need to find more.

Race 6 Coffs Harbour 6.40 Airstrike (1/1)
Promising filly who has won 2 of her last 3 now and did it convincingly at Nowra on reappearance last month; can improve again and looks well placed to follow up again; worth keeping safe especially against this field.
Great chance for AIRSTRIKE to make it 3 wins from her last 4. She impressed on return and looks capable of going on to better things. She will obviously improve from that first run for 6 months and deserves to be an odds-on shot here. Tobasco is exposed in comparison but has won 5 times over this trip so could still be the main danger in this field. Memphis Squaw also has plenty of experience to draw upon but will need more to spring an upset here. Lady Clare could have more to come but will need to build on that third at Ballina last time to get involved. Capannello shaped better than he did at Port Macquarie when fifth here last time so might have a squeak of hitting the frame.
