MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 1 AT ROSEHILL GARDENS ON SATURDAY!

Race 1 Rosehill Gardens 2.00 Shalstar (6/5)

Smart filly who defied a 6 month absence to make a winning return at Randwick last month getting on top late; 3 wins from 4 starts now and open to further improvement so very much the one to beat in this field.

Great chance for the progressive SHALSTAR to make it four straight. She impressed back from a lengthy absence to win at Randwick and with added fitness on side she can make it 4 wins from just 5 starts. She definitely looks to bring the most potential to the table here so I can see her being backed into odds-on come post time. Well In Sight had won her first 3 starts before blowing out at Flemington last time. Given time since if she bounces back she looks the one most likely to chase home the selection. Blow Dart has 3 wins from 12 starts and is a solid enough yardstick but you’d think he’ll be up against it if the top 2 bring their best form. Iconic Dame best of the rest in terms of a place.

Promising filly who has won 3 from 4 starts and while she saw that winning run come to an end last time she had excuses; given time since and goes well fresh so expected to take a lot of beating; one to keep safe.

This looks a great opportunity for the promising SEQUESAY to get firmly back on track. She finished last at Sunshine Coast when last seen a year ago and if back to her best here could be way too good for this field. She won her first 3 starts and looked a filly with serious potential so fingers crossed she can get back on track. The Rattlesnake has just the 1 win from 8 starts so needs more if the favourite is back to her best. Kinky Dreams has knocked on the door the last twice but still needs more to land a serious blow here. American Red had looked to be improving but that progress has halted somewhat the last twice. The other 3 all look up against it and need to improve quite a bit to get involved.
