Progressive filly who showed a good attitude to win at Townsville last month, prevailing by a neck; won 3 from 5 over this trip now and open to further improvement so should be really tough to peg back off the front.
The Aussie NAP was back in the winners enclosure overnight so hopefully we can follow up on Tuesday as we head to Cairns. The likeable MORE THE MERRIER did well to win last time and with further improvement to come form a low gate she can go in again and make it 4 from 6 over this trip. Focus was second last time and that wasn’t a bad effort but he’ll need to improve again to upset this favourite. Higher Realm is more exposed than the two mentioned about but does come here off the back of a C&D win so has to be respected. Elite Standard also has some decent runs in the bank already so might be a bit of value to hit the frame if bringing her best form. Could also step forward as well.

Race 4 Ballarat 5.30 Hallowed Ground (1/1)
Ran out an impressive winning on penultimate start before bumping into another progressive horse last time; won 2 of his last 3 and can progress again so looks to have leading claims in this company.
Great chance for HALLOWED GROUND to make it 3 wins from his last 4 starts. He just bumped into one in the shape of Sold Tha Car last time (our Value Tip later on the card) and with further improvement to come should be capable of getting the better of these rivals. Diesel ‘N’ Dust looks the danger if bouncing back. He ran poorly to finish last at Morphettville last time but is obviously better than that. His old form would see him keep the selection honest. Flying Annie won last time and is another one to note in opposition but she will likely need more to contain the selection. Hard to see any of the other 3 getting involved despite Brazen Brando arriving here in winning form too.
