NAP – Best tip overnight
MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 1 AT BELMONT ON WEDNESDAY MORNING!
Race 1 Belmont 5.04 Nero King (11/10)
Promising sort who made a bright start winning on debut at Northam and then acquitted himself well in defeat when third here last time; can improve again up in trip and likely very hard to beat in this field; keep safe.
Hard to look past NERO KING at Belmont on Wednesday morning. He won on debut in the style of a nice horse and was a good third over shorter here last time. With further progression to come stepping up in trip he will likely prove very tough to beat here. He brings the most potential and I actually thought he’d be shorter than the 11/10 on offer at the time of writing. Kentucky Blue has just the 2 wins from 15 starts but has been running to a consistent level and could be the danger, the betting is certainly suggesting that. Miss Field hasn’t run at this trip yet but might have more to come so could be best of the rest. Hard to see any of those at bigger odds managing to land a blow.

Race 5 Doomben 5.21 Fast Talking (6/4)
Likeable type who arrives here chasing a hat-trick after winning his last two in good style; 2 from 3 over the trip now too and won at this track on penultimate start; hard to get away from and should be winning.
I know FAST TALKING is fairly exposed but he has won 8 times now including his last two. He is 2 from 3 over the trip and has more in favour than against. He will get a good pace to aim at and is comfortably the one to beat. Ostermeier won at Eagle Farm back in April but has been struggling recently and has a bit to prove. Hostage Of War ran below par at Sunshine Coast but is better than that and looked quite promising winning back-to-back starts at Gatton and could be a threat if bouncing back. Barade wasn’t entirely disgraced last time and if bringing his best form could be a bit of value to hit the frame. The rest all look to be up against it and have plenty to prove.
