Promising colt who chased Maljoom home on debut before improving to win readily at Wolverhampton on just his second start; big ask in Listed company when last seen; can improve again now handicapping; should win.
The NAP is on a really good run at the moment as I made it five in a row with Magical Lagoon yesterday. Hopefully I can bring up the SIX-TIMER on Sunday as I head to Redcar where ENCOURAGEABLE should take all the beating for James Horton. Now this colt impressed me with how he won at Wolverhampton and given his debut form has worked out superbly since I think he can make a winning handicap debut here. It was obviously a big ask in Listed company at Sandown last time and if you look at the winner My Prospero he won a Group 2 in France yesterday. The selection can progress again on just his fourth start and he is expected to have too much for this field. Gorak looks the main danger.

Newton Abbot 1.45 Appreciate (5/4)
Good looking chestnut who showed a really good attitude to bring up the four-timer at Worcester last month; raced too freely in the early stages at Stratford last time but still a big run in defeat; can get back on track.
I don’t think this will take a huge amount of winning so that makes APPRECIATE a really strong play for Milton Harris. This son of Australia has been thoroughly progressive in recent starts and impressed with how he brought up the four-timer at Worcester beating a good yardstick in Iron Heart. I know he was beaten last time but he was just a bit too keen and in fairness he did well in the circumstances. There is more to come yet and this looks a good opportunity for him to get back on track. Social City was a useful enough type on the Flat and he ran his best race over hurdles when second at Ffos Las last time. I do like the winner Pilgrims King but he has let the form down since but still respected.
