MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 5 AT SANDOWN ON WEDNESDAY MORNING!
Race 5 Sandown 5.45 Fire (11/10)
Likeable type who has been a work in progress and looked good over C&D when last seen way back in February; won 2 of his last 3 now and open to further improvement on return especially as he goes well fresh.
Even with Irememberwhen coming here a perfect 2-2 I think FIRE is a standout bet. He looked potentially useful winning over C&D when last seen and given plenty of time to mature he can win this before going on to better things. Irememberwhen is clearly quite promising but he might just be bumping into one here. I think the market has it spot on and they will finish the 1-2 here. It’s a good race though and it should throw up plenty of future winners. Lord Paramount has disappointed somewhat the last twice but his earlier form was encouraging and he could run well. Bifrost will be hitting peak fitness but again some talented sorts lining up here so hard to see him springing an upset.

Race 4 Belmont 6.49 My Baby Blue Jean (5/4)
Good looking chestnut filly who looked a horse going places winning at Pinjarra last term; well held on return but that a tough ask and fitter now so sure to go close especially in this easier company; obvious chance.
I can see MY BABY BLUE JEAN justifying favouritism at Belmont on Wednesday morning. She has 3 wins from 7 starts and is 2 from 5 over the trip. She can still improve again and she will strip fitter from the reappearance run too so she has plenty in favour. First Law was second at Belmont last month and looks the danger if building on that but I still think he lacks what he needs to beat the favourite who just has greater potential. Fatale Femme has some solid form to her name but she is already pretty exposed compared to the front two in here. Canto De Guerra is 2 from 6 over the trip but is just 3 from 23 overall which would have to be concerning. The other 3 are all playing catch-up to get involved.
