NAP – My best tip of the day

Glorious Goodwood 2.25 Royal Scotsman (7/4)

Scopey colt who won impressively over C&D on just his second start before running a big race when third in the Coventry at Royal Ascot last month; that form working out well; will go on improving for a while yet.

I’ve been waiting to see ROYAL SCOTSMAN again following that really promising third behind Bradsell in the Coventry last month. He struck me as the horse to take out of that race given he still looked plenty raw. He kept digging in under pressure and with the form of that race working out well he should posses the ability to win this. He bolted up over C&D on his second start so clearly acts well at this track and I think he brings the most potential to the table here. Chateau is the obvious danger as the betting is suggesting having done well to win at Newbury last time. He holds Legend Of Xanadu on that piece of form and should have more to come. Marshman possibly best of the rest.

NB – My Next or second best tip of the day

MY NEXT BEST WON AGAIN YESTERDAY AND IS CHASING A HAT-TRICK NOW!

Glorious Goodwood 3.00 New London (9/4)

Improving colt who has won 3 of his 4 starts; failed to shine at Chester so swerved the Derby but back on track in a big way winning at Newmarket last time; can keep improving and step back up in trip a big plus.

I’m really keen on NEW LONDON in the Gordon Stakes. This Dubawi colt still has tons of potential and I thought that was a very convincing performance off a big weight at Newmarket last time. He goes back up in trip but looks a Group-race winner in waiting and this represents a decent opportunity. I get the impression Charlie Appleby thinks a lot of this horse so it will be disappointing if he can’t get the job done. Hoo Ya Mal obviously ran a huge race when second to Desert Crown at Epsom and sets a good standard on that but he is a bit of an awkward customer and I wouldn’t be certain he can back that up. That might leave Deauville Legend as the main danger as he looks to be going the right way.
