MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 7 AT BALLARAT ON TUESDAY MORNING!

Race 7 Ballarat 7.30 Nicconi Express (1/1)

Promising type who improved to make the breakthrough over C&D last month, nicely on top at the line; came from off the pace last time and will progress again so strong chance to go and follow up here.

This is obviously tougher but we haven’t seen the best of NICCONI EXPRESS yet and I think he can follow up. He swooped from off the speed last time and with further improvement to come can go and follow up. Secret Hero is second in the betting and he ran well when third last time. He is just 2 wins from 15 starts though so while I can see him threatening I do think he is a bit vulnerable for win purposes. Baria scored at Mildura last time but this is deeper company here so she’ll need more to back that performance up here. Orpheline was back to form after 3 poor runs when fourth last time and if building on that again may well be a bit of value to run into a place.

Race 5 Hawkesbury 6.40 Sovereign Express (13/8)

Likeable type who comes here chasing a hat-trick after winning well at Newcastle and then backing that up from off the pace at Wyong last month; more in the locker yet and looks the one to beat.

The progressive SOVEREIGN EXPRESS looks a great bet to bring up the hat-trick at Hawkesbury on Tuesday morning. He is improving all the time and this extra yardage is only going to suit further. He will be ridden quietly before looking to swoop late again. Reach Beyond won at Scone before blowing out at Rosehill last time. If he can bounce back then he looks the danger but a bit to prove after that last run where he likely went too hard off the front. Turnaround Time won at Bathurst but this is tougher so while he might be the danger I do think he needs more to upset the selection. Dash Dash Dash remains a maiden so could hit the frame but again vulnerable for win purposes.
