NAP – Best tip overnight
Race 4 Scone 5.40 Par Five (6/5)
Left first two starts behind to go close at Port Macquarie on return, beaten just a nose; can improve again and looks the most likely winner in this field if finding further improvement; definitely worth keeping safe.
Slim pickings Down Under again overnight but I do like the chances of PAR FIVE who should be hard to beat. He got within a nose of victory last time and wouldn’t need much more to open his account now. Rhythm Is A Dancer hasn’t been running badly and should still have more to come so looks the biggest danger. Red Cobra has only had 4 starts so is another one that should come into the reckoning, quite a consistent record. Point Break has only had two starts so should have more to come but might need more time and experience. The rest are all double figures and some making their debuts so hard to recommend as the market looks to have this pretty much spot on.

Race 7 Warrnambool 7.00 Catskill Mountain (6/5)
Likeable type who is 2 from 3 over the trip and was back to form when second last time beaten less than 2 lengths; open to further improvement and should be hard to beat in a field as weak as this; obvious claims.
Hard to look past CATSKILL MOUNTAIN here following that excellent second last time. He is 2 from 3 over the trip and has more in favour than against. She’s Enuff was also second last time and she could emerge as the danger but definitely needs to improve. Prospettiva has failed to fire since winning here but could go better back at this track so also worth including but possibly just for place purposes. The Rattlin’ Bog is just 1 from 12 and was nearly last at Coleraine so no surprise to see him at fairly big odds. Frankenstar is bred to be doing better than what he has shown on the track so far but is 1-1 at the track so again might be a value bet to hit the frame. Jimmy’s Secret best of the rest.
