Race 4 Ipswich 5.18 Husson’s Revenge (11/10)
Promising type who made a perfect start winning on debut at Grafton; beaten twice since but given time to mature since and looks open to plenty of improvement; no surprise to see him make a winning return here.
My Aussie NAP was back in the winners enclosure overnight so hopefully I can double up on Wednesday. HUSSON’S REVENGE looks to bring the most potential to the table here so gets a confident vote to resume his progress and return to winning ways. Menindee has been badly out of form recently and is second fav so that says a lot about the quality or lack of quality from the opposition. Another Spirit has just 1 win from 10 attempts so is surely also vulnerable from a win perspective? Maxie Tap has won twice from 12 starts but does arrive with confidence high so has to be respected. Bid In A Hurry is more exposed than most so has plenty on her plate if she is to get competitive here.

Race 1 Belmont 6.14 Positive Impact (5/4)
Likeable type who has won 2 from 3 and impressed again last time running on strongly from off the pace to win at Pinjarra; more in the locker yet and this looks another decent opportunity for him to strike.
I’m keen to side with POSITIVE IMPACT at Belmont overnight. He is 2 from 3 and looks progressive. His form stacks up and this is winnable so plenty to like. He should get a good pace to run down and looks the most likely winner in this field. Luke’s Pierro has knocked on the door since winning at Northam and looks the one set to give him most to think about. Special Picture won here last time and she has to enter the reckoning as well but this is pretty competitive so she will likely need a career best to spring any sort of an upset. Red Hot Hope best of the rest but enough to prove especially on what we saw last time where he could only finish ninth of eleven which wasn’t very good.
