NAP – Best tip overnight
MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 4 AT CANBERRA ON FRIDAY MORNING!
Race 4 Canberra 5.55 Allgemeine (1/1)
Promising mare who won her first two starts at this track; beaten twice since but had excuses and given time to mature since she is open to plenty of improvement; this looks a good starting point so big chance.
No surprise to see ALLGEMEINE a short priced favourite here as she is likely to have improved plenty since we last saw her. She has already won twice and looks one to keep on side at this sort of level. Shaddy is second fav but has just the 2 wins from 24 starts so I think that says a lot about the lack of quality on show here. Cartography at least arrives with confidence high and he is 2 from 3 over the trip so might be the danger. Yesterday’s Gone remains open to improvement after just 7 starts so is another one that might show up well for a long way. Squiggles has gone off the boil so she’d need to bounce back in a big way to land any sort of a blow at the business end of this race.

Race 5 Mornington 6.30 Tori’s Dee (6/5)
Good looking sort who made a bright start winning on debut and then backed that up with a good second at Sandown last month; obviously open to improvement and this looks a good chance to win again.
Big chance for TORI’S DEE to go 2 from 3 here. He probably raced too prominently and got caught wide when second at Sandown and is better than that. This track should suit and with scope for further improvement I think he’ll get back on the upgrade here. Smokin’ Holly was third at Sandown last month and looks the danger off the back of that. Squizzy Mizzy has won 3 from 12 and is another one to note but she will likely need a career best to win this. El Salto won at Echuca last time and also needs to be respected but I thin this is tougher so no surprise to see him quite a big price as it is a tough enough ask. Soju Session best of the rest and at least she remains unexposed after just 4 starts.
