MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS IN RACE 6 AT DEVONPORT!
Race 6 Devonport 6.13 Bold Instinct (11/10)
Promising type who improved on reappearance to win over track and trip back in May; given time since again and open to further progress so looks well placed to follow up here; definitely the most likely winner.
With the promise of more to come I think BOLD INSTINCT looks a great bet here. He enjoyed this C&D winning well last time and after just the 4 starts is open to plenty of improvement again. I get the impression connections think a fair bit of him given the way they have campaigned him so while he is a short price that is likely with very good reason. Eyes For Ash ran well to finish third on debut at Kilmore but didn’t really back that up when only fifth of nine at Ballarat. If he bounces back he might be the one to finish second but struggling to see him springing an upset. Rock’em Baby won here but then blew out last time. Another one that needs to bounce back to have a squeak here.

Race 7 Kalgoorlie 9.00 Long Weekend (7/4)
Good looking sort who has a terrific record at this track winning 5 times from just 6 attempts; not done improving yet and ran out a convincing winner again here last time justifying favouritism; foolish to oppose.
This is definitely a big test for the winning machine that is LONG WEEKEND as he steps back up in trip again and he is 0/2 over it which is slightly concerning but he has won over further before and given his track record of 5 from 6 and the fact he is still improving I make him really tough to beat here. Hilton is also building a nice profile and looks the danger with 4 wins from 9 starts. Double Spice is slightly more exposed with 5 wins from 19 starts and is just 1 from 6 over the trip which would be a worry. Solarize won here last time so has to be respected with confidence high as well. Yoyo’s is untried over the trip but has won at this track 3 times and might be a lively player to hit the frame.
