NAP – My best tip of the day
Doncaster 3.55 New London (6/5)
Progressive colt who has won 4 of his 5 starts to date and bounced back from that Chester blip to win impressively at Newmarket; backed that up to win the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood and form franked since; hard to beat.
Everything we have seen from NEW LONDON suggests he should relish this trip and while there are some concerns over the ground I don’t really see it as no rain is forecast now and it should dry out sufficiently. He is clearly a very talented colt and his wins at both Newmarket and Goodwood recently suggest he is by some way the one to beat. His only disappointment to date came on soft ground at Chester and I don’t see it getting anywhere near that here. He is improving all the time and Deauville Legend paid a handsome compliment to that last bit of form as well. Haskoy impressed making it 2-2 at York 3 weeks ago and if she progresses again she might be the one to finish second.

Curragh 3.00 Meditate (11/8)
Likeable filly who seems to be improving with experience and impressed again showing a nice blend of speed and stamina to score over this C&D last month; can improve again so no reason why she can’t make it a perfect 5-5.
I’ve been really impressed with MEDITATE so far and her Royal Ascot win and then Group 2 win over C&D last time stick in the memory. She made all impressively to beat Mawj at Ascot and then employed the same tactics over track and trip last time proving too strong for Olivia Maralda. She clearly has more in the locker if called upon and she should make her mark at the top level now. Tahiyra looked a fine prospect bolting up on debut at Galway and that form has been boosted since so she could be the danger. This is obviously a lot tougher though. Lakota Sioux has plenty of ability but perhaps with an attitude. If she puts it all in here she could be decent value to run a place at big odds.
