Promising type who improved to make a winning handicap debut at Pontefract when last seen, looking better the further he went; up 5lb but given time since and should relish this extra yardage here.
I loved the way WESTERN STARS won at Pontefract when last seen back in June. He still looked quite inexperienced but once gathered up by William Buick came through strongly and hit the line going away in the end. He steps up to a mile and a quarter here for the first time and should relish it. He is up 5lb but he should improve and I think he looks well placed to follow up with Ben Curtis now in the saddle. Shine On Brendan had been in good form before blowing out in the Leger Legends race but if bouncing back would have to be respected. He does have a bit to prove though and perhaps Rich King will be the one to put up the most resistance. I thought he had excuses last time so could go well.

Very much back to his best denied just a head at Newbury last month, staying on strongly at the finish having had to switch off the rail; this easier and with the promise of more to come should go close.
There was lots to like about the way ADMIRALTY HOUSE came home at Newbury last month. I’ve had my eye on him all season to be honest and I remember him being too keen when backed into favourite at Newbury back in June. He angled out too late behind Haskoy at Wolverhampton but was back to his best denied a head last time. He had to switch off the rail as there was no way through and once he saw daylight he really rattled home. I’m confident he is well handicapped off a mark of 80 and if this pans out favourable he looks good value to land this prize. Magical Mile won at Ffos Las last time and is respected up 5lb. Glen Esk also has to be feared having been freshened up.
