MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 3 AT DOOMBEN ON WEDNESDAY MORNING!
Race 3 Doomben 4.43 Ravaged Award (6/4)
Likeable mare who improved to get her head back in front at Toowoomba last time, bolting up by 6 lengths; looked a bit unlucky finishing well at Sandown before that so on the upgrade; should be hard to beat.
This looks a great chance for RAVAGED AWARD to follow up. Her form stacks up and she did it really well last time. She has more to offer as her stamina is drawn out and I fancy her to come out on top here. Highlights has more experience on side and is 2 from 4 over the trip so looks the obvious danger but I think she can improve past him. Penso A Lei shaped better than her Eagle Farm run when third at Wyong last time but the likelihood is she will still need a bigger performance to get seriously competitive here. Jack The Lad is exposed in comparison to the market principals and he is only 1 from 7 over the trip which would be enough to put me off on this occasion.

Race 8 Sandown 8.05 Viviane (15/8)
Good looking chestnut mare who is improving fast judging by the way she brought up the hat-trick at Sale at the start of the month; 3 from 4 over the trip now and has more to come so should take a lot of beating.
I’m looking forward to seeing VIVIANE back out for Matthew Ellerton. She made it 3 wins in a row striking at Sale last time and scored over C&D prior to that so has plenty in favour. She is 3 from 4 over the trip now and looks destined for bigger and better things in time. She will likely race on or up with the speed again and should be in the box seat to pounce. Tycoon Humma ran well at Caulfield but blew out here last time and needs to bounce back from that to have a chance here. Neverstandingstill is going the right way now having won her last two but steps into tougher company now so it will be interesting to see how she acquits herself. Blistering possibly best of the rest.
