Race 8 Forbes 8.30 Sinaloa (11/10)
Improving mare who made a bright start winning on debut and has gone close a few times since; only beaten 2 lengths when last seen at Cowra in May; likely to have strengthened up since and can progress again.
No surprise to see SINALOA trading a short price for this. She looked good last campaign and with further improvement to come now she can make a winning return here. She has trialled twice in preparation and there shouldn’t be any excuses. Sea Princess is more exposed than the selection but still has to be respected having won at Casterton recently and then bounced back from a poor run at Morphettville to go close at Ballarat last month. If she comes forward again she is most likely to finish second here. Emeriz has 2 wins from 6 and is 2 from 3 over the trip so is another one that deserves plenty of respect. If the selection is as good as I’m hoping though she should still have him covered here.

Race 7 Warracknabeal 7.30 Come Along Jeffrey (2/1)
Progressive type who has won 2 of his last 3 and showed a great attitude to prevail by a nose at Wodonga earlier this month, that very good form; more in the locker yet and well placed to go in again here; worth chancing.
I have no doubt COME ALONG JEFFREY is the one to beat at Warracknabeal overnight. He has won 2 of his last 3 now and with scope for further improvement should be up to saluting the judge once more. Quraysha looks a nice mare in prospect before blowing out at Sandown. If she can bounce back she is the danger but enough to prove off the back of that disappointing run. Pocket Rox won at Casterton last time so at least comes here with confidence high and is another one to note. Upper East Side has age and experience on side but is more exposed and even off the back of a decent run at Bendigo will need more to handle these younger legs. San Marino blew out last time and needs much more here.
